One flat price per fax, set by the page count. No subscription and no monthly minimum.

  • The cover page is optional, and it counts as one page of the fax.
  • International faxes go to 14 countries at one price for all of them. They are limited to 50 pages and unlock after your first completed card payment: a US or Canadian fax or an account top-up.
  • Only one document to send? A one-time fax is $2.99 with nothing recurring to cancel afterwards.

How you pay

Pay by card each time you send, and nothing is stored or repeated. Or add account credit: it is used first, for faxes you send, fax number fees and pages you receive, and your card is charged only when the credit runs out.

Turn on automatic top-up and a saved card adds credit when your balance runs low. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Pricing questions

One flat price per fax: $2.99 for 1–5 pages, $4.99 for 6–10, $8.99 for 11–25, $14.99 for 26–50, $24.99 for 51–100, then $0.15 per page (never less than $24.99). No subscription. Those rates cover any US or Canadian number. International faxes to 14 destinations are $5.99 for 1–5 pages, $9.99 for 6–10, $17.99 for 11–25 and $29.99 for 26–50, with a 50-page maximum. Subscribers to our optional plans save 10–30% on every rate.
A cover page counts as one page of the fax, so it can move a fax into the next price band: 5 pages plus a cover page is a 6-page fax at $4.99. You fill it in at send time with who it is to, who it is from, a subject and a message.
No. You can pay per fax with your card at checkout every time. Account credit is an optional prepaid amount on your account: it is applied automatically before your card is charged again, and larger packages add a bonus. Subscriptions are also optional and simply discount every fax you send.
Yes. Save a card and set a threshold, for example: add $25 when your balance falls below $5. We also top up automatically if a fax number renewal would otherwise fail, so your number does not lapse. Automatic top-ups earn the same bonus credit as manual ones, and every charge is emailed as a receipt. If a charge is declined we stop and email you rather than retrying. Change or cancel it any time under Settings then Billing.
Busy or unreachable lines are retried automatically up to 30 times over about 24 hours (3 attempts for international). If it still fails, the failure email lets you request a refund review; refunds are net of card-processing and attempt costs. Faxes rejected by the receiving machine or sent to a non-fax number are not refundable.
The number is released immediately and its monthly billing stops the same day. Any remaining account credit stays on your account and keeps working for sending faxes, inbound pages, or other services.
Yes. An upgrade takes effect as soon as its payment completes and is charged at the new plan's full price. We do not prorate mid-cycle, so the best time to upgrade is at the start of a period. To leave a plan, cancel it: you keep every plan benefit until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the account then moves to pay-as-you-go. There is no partial refund for the remainder of a cancelled period.
Pay by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), credit or debit. Payments are processed securely by a PCI-compliant payment processor; card details are never stored on our systems.
No contracts. Monthly plans are billed monthly and you can cancel anytime. Annual plans are billed once a year and cost about 17% less than paying monthly.
Yes. Every plan pays the same per-fax rates shown above, and your plan's discount comes off each one (10–30%). What the monthly fee buys is that discount, bulk send to more recipients at once (5 on Starter, 25 on Professional, 100 on Enterprise), and dedicated fax numbers included on Professional and Enterprise.
Yes. A dedicated US or Canadian fax number, local or toll-free (833, 844, 855, 866, 877, 888), is an add-on to any account at $11.99 a month per number, with or without a plan. Professional includes one number at no extra cost and Enterprise includes five. Received pages are $0.05 each on every account. Cancel anytime.
No. After upgrading to Professional or Enterprise we invite you to claim your included number(s) on the welcome page, but you can also do it later from your dashboard. Pick an area code whenever you need one; your unclaimed slots stay available.
No. HelpMeFax signs a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement at no charge on every plan, including pay-as-you-go. You request and sign it online, HelpMeFax countersigns it, and it covers the faxes you send and the faxes received on a HelpMeFax number.
Moving it is free. Once it is with HelpMeFax it costs the usual $11.99 a month plus $0.05 per page received, or uses a number included with Professional or Enterprise. The first month is taken from your balance when you sign the transfer letter, and it is refunded if the number cannot be moved.
No. A business account gives each person their own login, with a shared inbox and one prepaid balance, and there is no per-user fee and no limit on how many people you add. Faxes and numbers cost the same as on a personal account. Plan discounts are not available for a business account yet.
